Present: Paul and George

This cave is just so brilliant that I just had to do another trip. The main highlight of this trip was the monumental amount of water – the bridge above drain cave was knee deep, Easegill Beck was waist deep opposite Mistral (we got across by shuffling along the flood barrier) and the bottom of Fall Pot was apparently flooded.

The trip itself past suprisingly easily, this was only Pauls second trip, so I emphasised the great importance of not getting stuck in the rift above the fourth pitch. As it happened he passed this easily and only really had any problems in the same place that James got stuck – above the third pitch. The Pippikin streamway was exciting due to being knee/thigh deep, I wouldn’t reccommend doing it if the water was any higher!

All said another great trip down my favorite pot’ole.

DUSA health warning – don’t take ordinary novices down Pippikin, they are liable to get stuck and you will look like a tit!

George.
