Present: Stacey, Ian, Pete, Neil (SMCC)

After returning home from a days caving, it was suggested that we went down Hunters Hole as rigging practice for Stacey, so we did. The cave is about a ten minute walk from the hut, next to The Hunters Lodge Inn, centre of Mendip caving drinking. Stacey went in first and rigged under instruction from Ian, followed by Pete and Neil. Once we reached the bottom, Ian and Stacey followed the main chamber down to the end and played in the mud, what fun! Neil and Pete headed down a passage to the right which after a rather exposed climb leads to Gas Street, renowned for it’s bad air. Turned around and came out.Efficient de-rigging. Passed the pub to see everyone else enjoying a pint or two and a game of shove halfpenny, we were to muddy to go in. Drank beer back at the hut instead.A short enjoyable SRT trip.
