Crawled up past Valley, rigged it on the way, found the right cave (possibly). Went in through very cold meltwater, went down first pitch/waterfall. Didn’t pull through ‘cos we weren’t sure we knew the way on. Decided that it might not have been the right cave, and if it was, then we were lost anyway. Got cold. Ran out of cave very slowly. Tim and Chris came out 2nd and 3rd looking a very fetching colour. Reference to the appropriate digest (Dulux, a colour chart for interior matt, 1997 ver. 3) indicated the colour to be no. 6589, semi-corpse blue-grey flecked white. Ran away, derigged and thawed out.
